"A PASTOR HAS NO AUTHORITY OVER YOU!"
A pastor's job is to teach God's Word and live as an example of what he teaches. He has no right to pry into people's private lives or tell people how to live their lives. In this broadcast, Edwin and Sophia explain how much authority a pastor has in your life. Sophia is translating Edwin into Danish.
The GraceZone is an online ministry hour with focused teaching on the Gospel of Grace as given to the Apostle Paul for believers under the New Covenant. Edwin and Sophia explain the freedom believers have from futile religious works and enslaving church commandments that are based on Old Testament laws, which are no longer in effect since the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ the Messiah.
True children of God are always being led by the Holy Spirit in all areas of their lives. There is no need to fall back into the Law, from which power we have been redeemed by Jesus Christ. Now, we live "by the Spirit" in all things and He leads and controls our lives, guiding us to where we should go and what we should do. God has promised He will always speak to His children and make His will known to them.
Through grace we enter into the abundance of life that we were meant to live in as children of God. This is a rich life in an intimate relationship with Jesus, where we experience His guidance, love, provision, and help to overcome any obstacle. But this life must be Christ-Centered, and the things we pray for must be what He desires for us. We don't live for ourselves or our own comfort. We live for God's will and purpose for our lives to be done every single day.
The only way to enter into a life led by the Holy Spirit is through the portal of grace. There is no true salvation without grace, because grace is the source by which God sustains us and leads us. No one can be under both the Law and grace at the same time. Only grace produces true godliness in our character.
When we understand God's Word through the lens of grace, we see that there can be no marriage between a believer and an unbeliever. That's why God warns us not to be unequally yoked. This broadcast will help you understand what God says about divorce and marriage. It may surprise you to hear this topic through New Covenant teaching, as opposed to confusing statements made by churches that mix Law and Grace.
A growing doctrine among Christian churches today is the idea that Jesus already came back spiritually in the year 70 AD, that the book of Revelation already happened, and that there will be no apocalyptic event or rapture taking place. This deceptive teaching is utter nonsense for a number of reasons, which we show through Scripture.
In Mark chapter 4, Jesus explains that people will receive the Gospel in different ways, and that among four different categories are those who seem to receive and agree with God's Word, but because they are in it for some selfish gain, they end up not producing any lasting spiritual fruit. Some people place themselves in the center, instead of serving Christ and following Him with abandonment to earthly and material desires. Edwin explains, through the Word of God, just how much in control of everything God really is.
When Christian churches mix law in with grace and obligate their members to follow Old Covenant laws like tithing, fasting, and baptism in order to please God, they are "cursed" according to Galatians 3:10. Everything such preachers teach will lead people astray and away from the wonderful message of undeserved salvation by grace, as taught by the Apostle Paul. People who sit under such confusing teaching will never flourish in their spiritual life, but will be stuck in futile works such as praying harder, fasting longer, and doing more. Their efforts are cursed because they are under the law and not grace.
The much discussed doctrine known as OSAS becomes very clear when you set New Covenant Scripture in its proper context and understand how salvation is a matter of being chosen and predestined to belong to Jesus, something God has ordained and preplanned before the world began for each individual.
God's grace is fully undeserved, no one can claim that they did just the right thing to make God like them enough to save them. People who make life all about themselves and think they can do a lot of things on their own, and even command God to do things for them, don't realize how fully God is in control over everything, including ever human being's life. It's all about Him, not us.
The Christian church has unfortunately ruined many people's lives because they have preached a Law-based gospel that condemns people based on misunderstood doctrine. They have taken things pertaining to the Old Testament Law and put it on people under the New Covenant, causing much damage in believers' lives in the area of marriage, divorce, and remarriage.
When someone doesn't teach the Word of God correctly, they may claim to have the Holy Spirit, but they don't actually have Him but rather a "different" spirit. A contrary spirit goes against the Spirit of God, and will always teach a different gospel - for instance about Old Testament Law, money, manifestations, or prosperity.
Water baptism is an outward ritual, symbolizing change of mind and behavior that comes from cleansing rituals from the Law of Moses. After the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ we are under the New Covenant, and believers are made righteous by FAITH alone - no works, and no outward rituals needed!
Some think believers need continuous deliverance because they are not free, but a true Christian cannot be possessed by demons because Christ has Lordship over their lives. Who the Son sets free is free indeed. Either Christ set us free or He didn't. The Cross is enough!
