IT IS ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING how few Christians understand that we are not under the Law of Moses anymore after Jesus died!
IT IS EQUALLY DISTURBING how few pastors teach true freedom in Christ, and instead mix Old Covenant laws and practices in with New Covenant grace!
HOW CAN THESE CHURCH LEADERS DENY PEOPLE the amazing opportunity to find true and lasting freedom in Christ? The kind of freedom that leads to victory in all areas of their Christian life!
IT IS TIME to speak up against the BULLIES who operate these money-hungry, fearmongering, curse-placing SYNAGOGUES OF SATAN that we call Christian Churches today!
HOW LONG are the Sheep going to put up with being fleeced? How long are the Sheep going to be blind to the fact that they are being deceived with Old Testament practices, that Jesus died to end???
DO WE UNDERSTAND that Jesus wanted something so much more precious and amazing when He taught us that our NEW COMMANDMENT is to LOVE ONE ANOTHER and BEAR ONE ANOTHER'S BURDENS by CARING AND SHARING, like they did in the First Church, described in the Book of Acts chapters 2 and 4?
JESUS WANTED YOU TO HAVE VICTORY OVER SIN AND “THE CURSE”! That’s why He died for you! So you wouldn’t constantly fall into sin and feel defeated! He wanted you to live free from the CURSE OF THE LAW that condemns you, and rather experience new, true freedom in Christ! He wanted you to be LED BY HIS SPIRIT!!!
BUT IF YOU CONTINUE to defend your practices of Law and deny what Jesus did for you, how are you not also evil like these pastors are, because you will end up ENSLAVING others with the yoke of the Law, too!!
QUESTION 1: WHAT DID JESUS END BY DYING ON THE CROSS?
“For Christ himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in his own body on the cross, he broke down the wall of hostility that separated us. He did this by ending the system of law with its commandments and regulations. He made peace between Jews and Gentiles by creating in himself one new people from the two groups.”
Ephesians 2:14-15 NLT
QUESTION 2: WHO IS UNDER A CURSE; THOSE WHO FOLLOW THE LAW OR THOSE WHO DON’T?
“But those who depend on the law to make them right with God are under his curse, for the Scriptures say, “Cursed is everyone who does not observe and obey all the commands that are written in God’s Book of the Law.” So it is clear that no one can be made right with God by trying to keep the law. For the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.” This way of faith is very different from the way of law, which says, “It is through obeying the law that a person has life.” But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.”
Galatians 3:10-13 NLT
QUESTION 3: WHEN DID WE BECOME FREE FROM THE LAW OF MOSES?
“Before the way of faith in Christ was available to us, we were placed under guard by the law.” Galatians 3:14a NLT
“The old system under the law of Moses was only a shadow, a dim preview of the good things to come, not the good thing themselves.”
Hebrews 10:1a NLT
Then he said, “Look, I have come to do your will.” He cancels the first covenant in order to put the second into effect.
Hebrews 10:9
“That first covenant between God and Israel had regulations for worship and a place of worship here on earth.”
Hebrews 9:1 NLT
“That is why he is the one who mediates a new covenant between God and people, so that all who are called can receive the eternal inheritance God has promised them. For Christ died to set them free from the penalty of the sins they had committed under that first covenant.”
Hebrews 9:15 NLT
“The will goes into effect only after the person’s death. While the person who made it is still alive, the will cannot be put into effect.”
Hebrews 9:17 NLT
QUESTION 4: IS TITHING 10% OF YOUR INCOME A PRACTICE UNDER THE LAW OF MOSES?
In Deuteronomy 14, Moses is reviewing all the Laws that God gave him to give to the Israelites. Among them are instructions on “tithing.”
“You must set aside a tithe of your crops—one-tenth of all the crops you harvest each year.” Deuteronomy 14:22 NLT
“At the end of every third year, bring the entire tithe of that year’s harvest and store it in the nearest town.”
Deuteronomy 14:28 NLT
In Numbers 18, Aaron was instructed on the duties of the priests and Levites.
“As for the tribe of Levi, your relatives, I will compensate them for their service in the Tabernacle. Instead of an allotment of land, I will give them the tithes from the entire land of Israel.”
Numbers 18:21 NLT
“This is a permanent law for you, to be observed from generation to generation. The Levites will receive no allotment of land among the Israelites, because I have given them the Israelites’ tithes, which have been presented as sacred offerings to the Lord.”
Numbers 18:23-24 NLT
Other scriptures that say tithing was in the Law of Moses:
“Now the law of Moses required that the priests, who are descendants of Levi, must collect a tithe from the rest of the people of Israel, who are also descendants of Abraham.”
Hebrews 7:5 NLT
“There you will bring your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, your tithes, your sacred offerings, your offerings to fulfill a vow, your voluntary offerings, and your offerings of the firstborn animals of your herds and flocks.”
Deuteronomy 12:6 NLT
“you must bring everything I command you—your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, your tithes, your sacred offerings, and your offerings to fulfill a vow—to the designated place of worship, the place the Lord your God chooses for his name to be honored.”
Deuteronomy 12:11 NLT
“When the people of Israel heard these requirements, they responded generously by bringing the first share of their grain, new wine, olive oil, honey, and all the produce of their fields. They brought a large quantity—a tithe of all they produced.”
2. Chronicles 31:5 NLT
“On that day men were appointed to be in charge of the storerooms for the offerings, the first part of the harvest, and the tithes. They were responsible to collect from the fields outside the towns the portions required by the Law for the priests and Levites. For all the people of Judah took joy in the priests and Levites and their work.”
Nehemiah 12:44 NLT
WHY YOU SHOULD GIVE FREELY AND NOT TITHE
Tithing was only blessed when it was under the Law of Moses for the Israelites, and it was never money to begin with, only agricultural products! If you insist on tithing, you are not living in the freedom Christ purchased for you. Instead, you are insisting on importing old laws into a new system, the system of being led by the Spirit.
You cannot be led by rules and the Holy Spirit at the same time! This is a fundamental error.
We are to give according to how the Apostle Paul instructed the believers in the New Testament, under the New Covenant of GRACE. Under GRACE, there are no other laws than to love the Lord and love one another. This love perfectly fulfills all the commandments of the old system.
Finally, ask yourself, why has your pastor never taught you this stuff?
