Deliverance Ministry for christians?

There is no deliverance ministry for Christians in the Bible. Nowhere in Scripture have we been commanded to deliver other believers from demons. Jesus Christ didn’t do it; the disciples didn’t do it! This is a major deception in the Christian Church. 

Just because Jesus told His disciples that believers will cast out demons, that doesn’t mean believers can now deliver other born-again believers in Christ from demons!

“These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in My name, …” 

Mark 16:17 NLT 

We have been taught completely wrong!

Especially in the Charismatic church circles they claim that after you have come to faith in Jesus Christ, your salvation is an ongoing process, where you gradually get set free from demonic forces that has kept you bound. During this process, which can last for years, it is essential to undergo deliverance, which is a ministry session, where others will cleanse a person of demons and evil spirits by casting them out.

They say deliverance is the only way to address problems in people’s lives that continue to manifest and obstruct because of demonic presence within them. 

Deliverance ministers use various methods to get demons to manifest or come to the surface, after which they help the person to break the legal rights of the demons to be in the person by repeating different prayers. 

They teach that people need deliverance to have victory over certain sins in their lives and that demonic powers gain entry through generational curses or ancestral spirits. The deliverance candidate must complete a checklist that details which kinds of evil practices they have been involved with throughout their lives. These evil practices include anything from occultism, witchcraft, and demonic boards games to physical things, such as having undergone surgery, having had an abortion, homosexual relations, or having tattoos. 

Many even believe that poverty is the result of the devil’s control over someone’s life. This is not taught anywhere in the Bible!

These so-called deliverance rituals or sessions for Christians - that can go on for hours with lots of loud commanding and screaming - are being done to help them become free from demons, but instead much damage has been done through these unbiblical deliverance ministries, who are not able to discern or diagnose people correctly.

Deliverance ministers are not well versed in the scriptures. They don’t understand that people, who are demon possessed, cannot be real Christians at the same time. When Christ comes into someone’s life, they will be set free from the devil and his demons, and they will become a brand-new person!

“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” 

2 Corinthians 5:17 NLT

As new creatures in Christ, believers immediately have great power!

“For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.” 

1 John 5:4-5 NLT

They have the power to “overcome the world” – meaning sin, the devil, and anything evil. 

“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world - our faith.” 

I John 5:4 NKJV

The Apostle Paul knew about this power of God that was enough to keep him closely connected to God no matter the powers of demons,

“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow - not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below - indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” 

Romans 8:38-39 NLT

That’s why there is no such thing as a deliverance ministry for Christians! Jesus cast out demons many times when He came across sinners who were possessed, but there are no scriptures on Christians being cast demons out of. 

Here are some examples of Jesus casting out demons of non-believers only!

· Jesus commanded the demons to come out of two violent demon possessed men, and enter into pigs. (See Matthew 8:28-34)

· Jesus rebuked the evil spirit in a demon possessed boy, saying, “Listen, you spirit that makes this boy unable to hear and speak, I command you to come out of this child and never enter him again!” (See Mark 9:25 NLT)

· “Once when Jesus was in the synagogue, a man possessed by a demon—an evil spirit—cried out, shouting, “Go away! Why are you interfering with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God!” But Jesus reprimanded him. “Be quiet! Come out of the man,” He ordered. At that, the demon threw the man to the floor as the crowd watched; then it came out of him without hurting him further.” 

Luke 4:33-35 NLT

The Apostle Paul also cast out a demon from a psychic girl, who harassed him day after day:

“This went on day after day until Paul got so exasperated that he turned and said to the demon within her, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And instantly it left her.” 

Acts 16:18 NLT

She was not a believer! Satan was ruling her. That is why she needed deliverance!

See, when Jesus died on the cross for our sins, He defeated Satan and his demons! Therefore, when someone believes in Jesus Christ, Jesus becomes this person’s Lord and Savior, and Satan must give up rulership over their life! 

And yet, deliverance ministers tell you that Christ defeating Satan on the cross is not sufficient to set you free from demonic spirits having control over your life.

Here is what the Bible says about how Jesus disarmed Satan and his demons on the cross: 

“He disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by His victory over them on the cross.” 

Colossians 2:15 NLT

Therefore, a true, born-again believer and follower of Jesus Christ can never be demon possessed or hit by spells from Satan and his demons, because the blood of Jesus expels all demonic influence from our lives.

“For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value. It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.” 

1 Peter 1:18-19 NLT

In other words, when Jesus comes into someone’s life, He sets them free, as He takes over as Lord of their lives. Satan is no longer their master. So, because He has set you free, there is no need to be set “more” free later. Either Jesus set you free, or the Word of God is lying. 

“So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.”

 John 8:36 NLT

As you can see, with Christ’s power in our lives, it is impossible to be a born-again follower and lover of Jesus Christ and be demon possessed at the same time. Those two things are exclusive of one another. Two diametrically opposite forces cannot coexist in a person at the same time. 

“How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil?” 

2 Corinthians 6:14-15 NLT

You see how it fits with Scripture? This is why Jesus and His disciples only threw demons out of sinners, not believers! That’s why there is no such thing of receiving a deliverance gift from God to free Christians from demons. It is nowhere to be found in the Bible! 

There are many Christians in the church today who say they believe in God, but since they are possessed by demons, it proves that their God is not Jesus Christ, but actually Satan! The Bible says about them that,

“Such people claim to know God, but their actions prove they really don't. They are disgusting. They won't obey God, and they are too worthless to do anything good.”

Titus 1:16 CEV

Or, as this Bible passage says,

“You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror. How foolish!”

James 2:19-20 NLT

Deliverance from demons is only meant for non-believers or fake (or deceived) believers, who call themselves Christians but are not really born-again. Therefore, you can be a “believer” and not be free from demons, but you cannot be a born-again, new creature in Christ and still be bound by demons! That’s impossible! Either you have demons and are not truly born-again, or you have demons and are an unbeliever.
