We all desire to be loved, wanted, accepted, and mean something to somebody. That is how God created us – to be filled with His love, so we are able to give it to others. What you don’t have, you cannot give. You can only give what you have!
Living a life of love also means being able to be flexible! It means that we develop the ability to easily move with the “flow.” The flow of the Holy Spirit guides you in and out between people and circumstances, and God continuously develops and tests our character in relations to others.
Jesus replied, ” ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
Loving yourself doesn’t just mean pampering your body and having a good self-esteem. Loving yourself goes much deeper, and is many times put to the test when we have to make decisions. The choices we make in those seconds of decision making, really give us a good idea of how much we love ourselves.
