HE LOVES YOU EVEN SO
By Edwin Christiaan | May 28, 2020
“Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean He no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?
No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.”Romans 8:35, 37 NLT
Yes,
“I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.” Romans 8:38 NLT
NO WORRIES
By Edwin Christiaan | May 28, 2020
“Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?” Matthew 6:27 NLT
No! Therefore,
“Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you.” 1 Peter 5:7 NLT
In other words,
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done.” Philippians 4:6 NLT
“Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.” Matthew 6:34 MSG
WHEN YOU ARE NOT BORN AGAIN YOU WILL FALL AWAY
By Edwin Christiaan | May 24, 2020
It is for this very reason that Jesus said,
“So don’t be surprised when I say, ‘You must be born again.’” John 3:7 NLT
“I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.” John 3:3 NLT
That is why it is impossible for a truly born again believer to fall away from God!
“For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God.” 1 Peter 1:23 NLT
Therefore,
“No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:39 NLT
ARE YOU BEING EQUIPPED TO DO GOD’S WORK?
By Edwin Christiaan | May 15, 2020
Through the church using God’s Word?
“Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do His work and build up the church, the body of Christ.” Ephesians 4:11-12 NLT
“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip His people to do every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17 NLT
My prayer for you is,
“May God equip you with all you need for doing His will. May He produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to Him” Hebrews 13:21 NLT
THE DEVIL IS NO MATCH
By Edwin Christiaan | May 9, 2020
The Bible puts the following questions before us,
“Suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing, and you say, “Good-bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well”—but then you don’t give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do?” James 2:15-16 NLT
“If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person?” 1 John 3:17 NLT
Here are the answers,
“When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them.” Romans 12:13 NLT
So,
“Don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God.” Hebrews 13:16 NLT
In the words of Jesus,
“I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to Me” Matthew 25:40 NLT
