The Bible puts the following questions before us,
“Suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing, and you say, “Good-bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well”—but then you don’t give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do?” James 2:15-16 NLT
“If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person?” 1 John 3:17 NLT
Here are the answers,
“When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them.” Romans 12:13 NLT
“Don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God.” Hebrews 13:16 NLT
In the words of Jesus,
“I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to Me” Matthew 25:40 NLT

I remember many years ago somebody challenged me asking the following questions about tithing, which ultimately led me to write a book about this subject.
Where does it say in the Bible that Jesus commanded us to pay tithes, that is 10% of our MONEY income to the church in order to be blessed and not to be cursed? Where? Prove it with scriptures!
Did the apostle Paul or any other disciple of Jesus teach that we are obligated to pay tithes, which is 10% of our MONEY income to the church every week or month? Where is that written in the Bible? Please prove it with scriptures!
