MY TASK AS A HUSBAND

By Edwin Christiaan | May 14, 2019

My task as a husband is to be the head of my wife, as Christ is the head and the Savior of the church, which is His own body. In other words, as a husband I must provide leadership to my wife just the way Christ does to His church, not by domineering but by cherishing.

It means that I should love my wife as much as Christ loved the church and gave His life for it. He made the church holy by the power of His word, and He made it pure by washing it with water. Christ did this, so He would have a glorious and holy church, without faults or spots or wrinkles or any other flaws.

I should love my wife as much as I love myself. The Bible says that a husband who loves his wife shows that he loves himself. No one hates or abuses his own body. No, he feeds and takes good care of it. That’s how Christ treats us, the church, since we are part of [...]

STOP THE WORRY!

By Edwin Christiaan

Don’t worry and ask yourselves, “Will we have anything to eat? Will we have anything to drink? Will we have any clothes to wear?” Only people who don’t know God are always worrying about such things. Your Father in heaven knows you need all of these. But more than anything else, put God’s work first and do what He wants. Then the other things will be yours as well. Don’t worry about tomorrow. It will take care of itself.Matthew‬ ‭6:31-34‬ ‭CEV‬‬

Don’t worry about anything, but pray about everything. With thankful hearts offer up your prayers and requests to God. Then, because you belong to Christ Jesus, God will bless you with peace that no one can completely understand. And this peace will control the way you think and feel.Philippians‬ ‭4:6-7‬ ‭CEV‬‬

In other words,

Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you.1. Peter‬ ‭5:7‬ ‭NLT‬‬
