Christian Matchmaking?

I want to respond to the question that I recently posted on one my blogs; do Christians have to go out to look for and choose their own spouses in public places or on dating and matchmaking sides? I believe that God is able to use any venue in order to get you the spouse that is according to His will for you. In other words, if God tells you to go on a dating and matchmaking site to find your partner, so be it!
At the other hand, I remember the testimony of this nice Christian brother, who for some time was praying for God to send him a wife. He always said that he was content with his single life, but at the same time he had a desire in his heart to have a companion to share his life with. He kind of challenged God saying he was not going to pursue it, but allow God to bring her to him. This brother, who is a dog lover and breeder, some months later put an advertisement [...]

From Milk To Solid Food

When you became a born-again Christian it was because Jesus Christ knocked at the door of your heart calling you, and you heard His voice and opened the door of your heart, and He came in and started sharing a meal together with you as friends. (See Revelation 3:20)
The first entree on the menu was pure spiritual milk that made you grow into a full experience of salvation. (See 1. Peter 2:2) After enjoying this for a season, it was time for the main course which was solid food that is only for those who are mature, who through training, have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong. (See Hebrews 5:14)

Now, because of the way you act, you have become like a tree that produces only good fruits. (See Matthew 7:15-20) Even better, you continue to grow, producing a harvest of of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted! (See Mark 4:20) You are the salt of the earth, full of flavor! (See Matthew 5:13) Yes, for people to taste [...]

Dining With Jesus

When you became a born-again Christian it was because Jesus Christ knocked at the door of your heart calling you, and you heard His voice and opened the door of your heart, and He came in and started sharing a meal together with you as friends. (See Revelation 3:20)

The first entree on the menu was pure spiritual milk that made you grow into a full experience of salvation. (See 1. Peter 2:2) After enjoying this for a season, it was time for the main course which was solid food that is only for those who are mature, who through training, have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong. (See Matthew 5:13) Yes, for people to taste and see that the Lord [...]

Are You Called To Celibacy?

I admire believers who know that they are supposed to stay single or celibate. Many are very attractive people, and Christians and non-Christians alike cannot understand why they are not getting married. They are often being looked at as if something must be seriously wrong with them. But they are the ones whom Jesus was referring to in Matthew 19:12 that choose not to marry for the sake of the Kingdom of Heaven. The apostle Paul, who himself was celibate, had this to say about the difference between someone being single and someone being married: “An unmarried man can spend his time doing the Lord’s work and thinking how to please him. But a married man has to think about his earthly responsibilities and how to please his wife. His interests are divided. In the same way, a woman who is no longer married or has never been married can be devoted to the Lord and holy in body and in spirit. But a married woman has to think about her earthly responsibilities and how to please her husband.” [...]

Do Not Dishonor Jesus

Jesus did only a few miracles in His own hometown of Nazareth because the people did not like Him. They scoffed at Him, including His own family, and they were deeply offended and refused to believe in Him. (See Matthew 13:54-58) Today Jesus is saying to us; do not dishonor Me like the people of my hometown did, but “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” Mark 11:22-24 NLT

Recognizing False Christians

There are a lot of good Christians in this world, but there are also, as the Bible says, many “false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves.” (Matthew 7:15 NLT) How do we recognize such false Christians? Jesus said; ”Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions. (Matthew 7:20 NLT ) The actions of a good Christian are based on “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control” (Galatians 5:22 NLT) and the actions of a false Christian are based on “sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these.” (Galatians 5:19-21 NLT)

Homosexuals Will Not Go To Heaven

God created sex to be between a man and a woman under the covenant of a marriage. Sex was never meant to be between man and man, woman and woman, or with children, animals, or with yourself for that matter. God calls it shameful, vile, and degrading. (See Romans 1:24) God clearly expresses His distaste for gay sex, calling it unnatural and sinful: “Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved.” Romans 1:26-27 NLT
It is time to tell it like it is, regardless of what these so-called Christians say (including President Obama), who are preaching a “watered down” gospel that says that you can live perfectly as a homosexual and at the same time go to Heaven. Yet, God made it unmistakably clear, that is, without a shadow of [...]

From Homosexuality To Holiness

Over the years, I have ministered the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ to the gay and lesbian communities in Texas, California, and New York and I became accustomed to much of their often unfair, harsh, and unfounded criticism toward Christians, such as; you Christians are homophobic, judgmental, hateful, unloving, and discriminating. They also say things like; your god is an unloving god who only wants to send people to hell! How can a loving god judge people who love each other? But what the gay and lesbian community does not understand is that Christians only communicate what God, through His own Word, says in the Bible in Romans chapter 1, verses 24 to 27, that homosexuality is a sin. So the beef should ultimately not be with Christians, but with God, the Creator, who is saying it! True Christians just want everyone to know how to be saved, set free, and go to heaven, instead of hell! Love is their motivation, not hatred!
I had the privilege to have encountered many homosexuals who understood this and repented from their [...]

A Husband Of One Wife, Not Two or Three

Having been in full-time ministry for over 25 years, I have had my share of running into false doctrines and ridiculous teachings that often causes much hurt in the body of Christ. One of them is that if you have been divorced and remarried, you are automatically disqualified for being in the ministry. Those who are teaching this deception justify it by the following passage in 1. Timothy 3:2 NKVJ, where it says that; “A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife,..”
These false teachers foolishly conclude that “husband of one wife” means the only wife you have ever been married to. But what the apostle Paul meant to say here, is that a bishop or pastor must be the husband to ONE wife, not two or three – one at a time!!! In other words, he cannot be a polygamist. Furthermore, this scripture doesn’t say anything about being disqualified for being in the ministry after you have been divorced and remarried! Wake up, church!

What All Disciples Of Jesus Christ Should Know

Whether you just came into the family of God by being born again or you have been in ministry for years, every disciple of Jesus Christ should know how much He loves us. Jesus showed that when He prayed; “O righteous Father, the world doesn’t know you, but I do; and these disciples know you sent me. I have revealed you to them, and I will continue to do so. Then your love for me will be in them, and I will be in them.” (John 17:25-26 NLT)

You are so loved and accepted by your Heavenly Father, who sent His only Son Jesus Christ to take your place and die for all your sins. (John 3:16)

Now you don’t have to be insecure anymore, lacking self-worth, comparing yourself with others, trying to be important, competing with others, or being jealous or envious of anyone!

You don’t have to be frustrated and angry, feeling isolated and unwanted anymore.

You don’t need to go around trying to impress people so they will like, love, or want you anymore.

You don’t have to earn God’s love [...]
