Clarity About Homosexuality And Salvation

You may be someone who thinks some of the following statements are true:
You are born gay
Dr. Phil says that it is scientifically proven that being gay is normal
You think same-sex marriage should be legalized
Celebrities who are coming out of the closet should be commended for it
Christians are bigots and unloving
The God of the Christians and the Bible is not your god
Animals also have gay sex
Homosexuality is an expression of love
God will never send a homosexual person to hell
Jesus did not say that being gay is wrong
You think that Christians are judging and condemning you for being gay.

But when it is all said and done, it will ultimately come down to what God really thinks about His own creation, and it starts when Jesus said; “Haven’t you read the Scriptures? They record that from the beginning ‘God made them male and female.’” And He said, “‘This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.’” (Matthew 19:4-5 [...]

Essentials For Christian Life – By Sophia Christiaan

“I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding. For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return. May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation—the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ —for this will bring much glory and praise to God.” Philippians 1:9-11 NLT

Let’s break down this amazing, wonderful scripture Paul wrote to the Christians in Philippi:

I pray…
Paul was praying for the believers he helped lead to Jesus Christ. He had a sincere desire and wish for them to mature and be strengthened in their faith. We can pray this scripture word by word for ourselves and for the ones we love. These three verses in Philippians capture the essence of how a Christian should live.

Your love will overflow more and more…
God’s desire for us is that we really understand what love is and that it, in all its many facets, may be [...]

Controlling The Tongue

Do you have a hard time controlling your tongue? When people are against you or things are not going your way, you yell, scream, and curse. Any little offense can set your tongue on fire. But then, with that same mouth, you praise God in the Sunday morning church service. It is like the Bible says; blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. This is not right! If you are not able to control your tongue it can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself. In other words, you are in a whole world of wickedness that is corrupting your entire body. Here is what the Bible also says; we all make many mistakes. For if we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way.
It is time to repent for allowing our restless and evil, full of deadly poison, tongue to say whatever it wants, and ask God to help us tame it for the sake of His [...]

Repentance With Or Without True Sorrow

There are two types of showing sorrow for the wrong one has done and they might sound identical. King Saul was sorry for disobeying the commandments of God when he confessed to the prophet Samuel, saying; “Yes, I have sinned. I have disobeyed your instructions and the Lord’s command, for I was afraid of the people and did what they demanded. But now, please forgive my sin and come back with me so that I may worship the Lord.” (1. Samuel 15:24-25 NLT) And yet, his plea was rejected by God. At the other hand, King David was sorry for committing adultery and murder when he said; “I have sinned against the Lord.” (2. Samuel 12:13 NLT) David’s plea was accepted by God.
What is the difference, you may ask? Well, the type of sorrow Saul displayed was not the kind of sorrow God wants us to have, which is the one that leads us away from sin and results in salvation. (See 2. Corinthians 7:10) Saul’s sorrow was worldly and lacking true repentance, while David’s sorrow was genuine. He [...]

A Man’s Responsibilities To His Wife

In God’s marriage, it is the husband who is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church, and not the wife! This means that the husband must love his wife just as Christ loved the church. Just as Jesus gave His life for us, the church, the husband must give up his life for his wife to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s Word. This is not the responsibility of the wife! (See Ephesians 5:21-30) That is why, it is the husband who is responsible for teaching and leading his wife in the ways of God, and not the wife. (See 1 Timothy 2:11-12) Furthermore, the husband should never treat his wife harshly (See Colossians 3:19), but instead he must give honor to his wife and treat her with understanding. If he does not treat his wife as he should, his prayers will be hindered! (See 1. Peter 3:7) God has given these instructions and responsibilities to the husbands only, and not to the wives. They have received their own [...]

The Harvest Is Great…

Jesus called and sent His disciples out on a circuit of villages to tell everyone about the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick. He instructed them not to take anything for the journey; no travelers bag, food, money, or even a change of clothes. He also told them that wherever they go they should stay in the same house until they leave town, and eat and drink whatever they are provided. (See Luke 9:1-6 and Luke 10:1-7)

God also, just like these disciples, called my wife and I to live this kind of missionary lifestyle of going from city to city, house to house, for almost seven years. Unfortunately, we and other believers, who also had the same missionary calling, encountered much criticism from especially Christians, who thought that this type of lifestyle cannot be from God, and they would say things like; you need a stabile home. Some even called people like us vagabonds. But Jesus said in Luke 10:2 NLT: “The harvest is great, but the workers are few.”

I believe the time has come, as never [...]

Warrior Christians

True disciples of Jesus Christ are spiritual soldiers and members of the gang of the Heavenly Army!
These true followers of Jesus Christ know that the Gospel is not about a “make me feel good” message, but about God the Master who disciplines those He loves and punishes each one He accepts as His child. That’s why these warriors endures God’s discipline and don’t give up when He corrects them. They understand that God’s discipline is a good training for them, even though it is painful while it is happening, they submit to it, because they know it produces a peaceful harvest of right living.
What these true disciples also do as gang members is to have each others back and look after each other so that none fails to receive the grace of God. They watch out for each other that no poisonous root of bitterness grows up to trouble them and corrupt them. They also make sure that no one is immoral or godless like Esau, who traded his birthright as the firstborn son for a single [...]

A Personal Note About Our Ministry

Signs Of The End Time

Is President Obama and his Democratic Party morally ruining our country with the legalization of same-sex marriage, the hatred and persecution of Christians, and the Benghazi and IRS scandals to name a few? Or are these things that must take place as signs of the increasingly evil end-times we are living in, as Jesus stated in Matthew 24:4-14? “Don’t let anyone mislead you, for many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah.’ They will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won’t follow immediately. Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come. Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed. You will be hated all over the world because you are my followers. And many will turn away from me and betray and hate each other. And many false [...]
