In the Bible book of 2. Corinthians 11 verse 3 it says that when your pure and undivided devotion to Christ is corrupted, the following will happen to you:

“You happily put up with whatever anyone tells you, even if they preach a different Jesus than the one we preach, or a different kind of Spirit than the one you received, or a different kind of gospel than the one you believed.”

2. Corinthians‬ ‭11:4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“You put up with it when someone enslaves you, takes everything you have, takes advantage of you, takes control of everything, and slaps you in the face.”

2. Corinthians‬ ‭11:20‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world.”

1. John‬ ‭4:1‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no wonder that his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness.”

2. Corinthians‬ ‭11:14-15‬ ‭NLT‬‬

What you should do,

“Watch out for people who cause divisions and upset people’s faith by teaching things contrary to what you have been taught. Stay away from them. Such people are not serving Christ our Lord; they are serving their own personal interests. By smooth talk and glowing words they deceive innocent people.”

Romans‬ ‭16:17-18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Bad company corrupts good character.”

1. Corinthians‬ ‭15:33‬ ‭NLT‬‬
