No, Jesus and His disciples were examples of those who practice what they preached; they trusted the Father to provide the means through miracles, in order for them give it away free of charge! They fully understood what their Master and Savior Jesus Christ taught them: “Freely you have received, freely give.” Matthew 10:8 NKJV That is why the apostle Paul could rightfully say: “And you should imitate me, just as I imitate Christ.” 1.
