You would be making a big mistake to think that you are the only Christian that goes through unique or special kinds of sufferings, testings, and temptations, and you complain that no one in the world understands what you are really going through. Elijah the prophet made that same mistake when “he complained to God about the people of Israel and said, “Lord, they have killed your prophets and torn down your altars. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me, too.” And do you remember God’s reply? He said, “No, I have 7,000 others who have never bowed down to Baal!” Romans 11:4 NLT
Therefore, you always have to “remember that your Christian brothers and sisters all over the world are going through the same kind of suffering you are.” 1. Peter 5:9 NLT Even Jesus Christ, “this High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin.” Hebrews 4:15 NLT And what is absolutely encouraging, is what the Bible says in 1. Corinthians 10:13 NLT; “The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.” 1. Corinthians 10:13 NLT
