HOW MANY ARE GETTING HURT BY BAD CHURCH LEADERS

Here is some of the reasons why people get hurt in the church by those who are not supposed to be pastors or leaders.

“Never be in a hurry about appointing a church leader.” 1 Timothy‬ ‭5:22‬ ‭NLT‬‬

In other words, he might not have the calling to be a pastor.

“A church leader must not be a new believer, because he might become proud, and the devil would cause him to fall.” 1 Timothy‬ ‭3:6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

In other words, he is immature.

“A church leader is a manager of God’s household, so he must live a blameless life. He must not be arrogant or quick-tempered; he must not be a heavy drinker, violent, or dishonest with money.” Titus‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

In other words, he does not walk in the fruits of the Holy Spirit.

“He must manage his own family well, having children who respect and obey him. For if a man cannot manage his own household, how can he take care of God’s church?” 1 Timothy‬ ‭3:4-5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

In other words, he is not able to lead his own family and be a godly example [...]

IS THIS YOUR LEARNING CURVE TOO?

“I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.” Philippians‬ ‭4:11-13‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The Bible also teaches that I must learn to do good by meeting the urgent needs of others; then I will not be unproductive. (See Titus‬ ‭3:14‬)

I ask God to give me complete knowledge of His will and to give me spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way I live will always honor and please Him, and my life will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, I will grow as I learn to know God better and better. (See Colossians‬ ‭1:9-10‬)

JESUS SAID,

“Everyone who acknowledges Me publicly here on earth, I will also acknowledge before My Father in heaven. But everyone who denies Me here on earth, I will also deny before My Father in heaven.” Matthew‬ ‭10:32-33‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“If anyone is ashamed of Me and My message, the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person when He returns in His glory and in the glory of the Father and the holy angels.”‭‭Luke‬ ‭9:26‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“So never be ashamed to tell others about our Lord.” 2 Timothy‬ ‭1:8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

As for me,

“I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes.” Romans‬ ‭1:16‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I work hard so I can present myself to God and receive His approval. I want to be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth. (See 2 Timothy‬ ‭2:15‬)

HERE IS WHY GOD WANTS ALL HIS CHILDREN TO SPEAK IN TONGUES

“For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries.” I Corinthians‬ ‭14:2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“A person who speaks in tongues is strengthened personally,…” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭14:4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

For if you pray in tongues, your spirit is praying, but you don’t understand what you are saying. (See 1 Corinthians‬ ‭14:14‬)

That is why all the disciples of Jesus Christ were speaking in tongues and all those they laid their hands on and prayed for. (See Acts 2:4 + Acts 19:5-7)

BE DONE WITH BITTERNESS

WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?

According to the dictionary, the meaning of a person being bitter is someone who carries resentment and is angry and disappointed at being unfairly treated.

There are scores of Christians who are bitter, just as the Bible says,

“Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.” Romans‬ ‭3:14‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control.”‭‭2. Timothy‬ ‭3:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Jesus said that,

“God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are My followers. Be happy about it! Be very glad!” Matthew‬ ‭5:11-12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The apostle Paul taught,

“Bless those who persecute you. Don’t curse them; pray that God will bless them.” Romans‬ ‭12:14‬ ‭NLT‬‬

That is why we are being told as followers of Jesus Christ to,

“Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior.” Ephesians‬ ‭4:31‬ ‭NLT‬‬

And also to,

“Look after each other so that none of you fails to receive the grace of God. Watch out that no poisonous [...]

WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?

“Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.” Colossians‬ ‭3:2‬ ‭NLT

“Think of all the wonderful things God has done for you.” 1 Samuel‬ ‭12:24‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.” Philippians‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Think back on those early days when you first learned about Christ. Remember how you remained faithful even though it meant terrible suffering.” Hebrews‬ ‭10:32‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Think of all the hostility Jesus endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give up.” Hebrews‬ ‭12:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Think about it: Just as a parent disciplines a child, the Lord your God disciplines you for your own good.” Deuteronomy‬ ‭8:5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.” Hebrews‬ ‭10:24‬ ‭NLT‬‬
