Pig Mentality

The Prodigal Son had a pig mentality, meaning he wasn’t willing to stay and receive the true life-giving pearls his father was offering him. Instead, he packed all his belongings and moved to a distant land, where he wasted all his inheritance money on wild living. With no money left and a famine striking the land, he became so hungry that he literally ended up longing to eat the food he was feeding the pigs. What an irony! The good news though was that this younger son came to his senses and said to himself, “At home even the hired servants have food enough to spare, and here I am dying of hunger! I will go home to my father and say, Father, I have sinned against both heaven and you, and I am no longer worthy of being called your son.” (See Matthew 7:6 and Luke 15:11-19) Just like this lost son, our prayer is that backsliders will repent from their sins and come back home to the Father where they belong, as Jesus said; “All who love [...]

Sign Of The Times

The fast spreading and wide acceptance of the homosexual lifestyle is one of the signs that we are living in the last days before the return of Jesus Christ, who said that when He comes back it will be as in the days of Lot, who lived in the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah which was saturated with gay people. (See Luke 17:20-37) Jesus also said that in those days “many will turn away from me and betray and hate each other. And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people. Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold.” Matthew 24:10-12 NLT That is precisely what is happening in these last days; that many so-called Christian prophets, pastors, and ministers are deceiving many people by telling them that you can be a Christian and at the same time live the homosexual lifestyle or be in a same-sex marriage, and on top of that saying that you will definitely go to Heaven! Many of these fallen ministers are the ones who are now [...]

Encourage Yourself

When King David was going through some very painful times in his life, he prayed; “why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad?
I will put my hope in God! I will praise Him again—my Savior and my God!” Psalm 43:5-6 NLT David was basically encouraging himself through the discouragement, by taking a new grip with his tired hands and strengthening his weak knees, marking out a straight path for his feet so that those who are weak and lame will not fall but become strong. (See Hebrews 12:12-13) This is how we should be building ourselves up on our most holy faith when we go through the difficulties, testings, and discouragements of life by praying and praising God like David did in the Holy Spirit. In this way, we will keep ourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. (See Jude 1:20-21)

Conflict Oriented Wives

So their ministry will be destroyed, Satan sets up men of God with anointed callings upon their lives to marry quarrelsome, conflict oriented, imposter Christian women who, as the Bible says, are as annoying
as constant dripping on a rainy day. Stopping their complaints is like trying to stop the wind
or trying to hold something with greased hands. (See Proverbs 27: 15-16) These godly men ends up finding out that “it’s better to live alone in the corner of an attic than with a quarrelsome wife in a lovely home.” Proverbs 21:9 NLT Or that “it’s better to live alone in the desert
than with a quarrelsome, complaining wife.” Proverbs 21:19 NLT  But instead of running away from their ungodly wives, these Christian men needs to take charge as the head of their wives, and confront them with the question of whether or not they are willing to continue living with them under the banner of their God-given leadership, as stated in Ephesians 5:23 and 1. Corinthians 7:12 NLT; “For a husband is the head of his wife [...]

Conflict Oriented

A conflict oriented person is the same as being a quarrelsome person. These kind of people will always cause angry disputes and arguments by purposely disagreeing with you, finding faults, and complaining about you. Proverbs 26:21 NLT says that “a quarrelsome person starts fights as easily as hot embers light charcoal or fire lights wood.” Quarreling and fighting comes from the evil desires at war within a conflict oriented person. (See James 4:1) The Bible also says that “anyone who loves to quarrel loves sin.” Proverbs 17:19 NLT But “a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone.” 2. Timothy 2:24 NLT God wants us to know that avoiding a fight is a mark of honor and that only fools insist on quarreling. (See Proverbs 20:3) We as followers of Jesus Christ belong to the day, and therefore we must live decent lives for all to see and not participate in the darkness of wild parties and drunkenness, or in sexual promiscuity and immoral living, or in quarreling and jealousy. (See Romans 13:13)
