Fruits Fit For Repentance

Then Jesus told this story: “A man planted a fig tree in his garden and came again and again to see if there was any fruit on it, but he was always disappointed. Finally, he said to his gardener, ‘I’ve waited three years, and there hasn’t been a single fig! Cut it down. It’s just taking up space in the garden.’ The gardener answered, ‘Sir, give it one more chance. Leave it another year, and I’ll give it special attention and plenty of fertilizer. If we get figs next year, fine. If not, then you can cut it down.’” Luke 13:6-9 NLT  Jesus was using this story to illustrate that we ought to bring forth fruits fit for repentance, because the ax is already laid at the root of the tree (See Luke 3:9) and God’s patience has a limit.  In the parable, the garden owner grants another year of life to the tree. In the same way, God in His mercy grants us another day, another hour, another minute, but His patience will at one point come to [...]

It Takes A Humble Attitude

It takes humility to pray what King David prayed; “search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.” Psalm 139:23-24 NLT  Or to be willing to receive an assignment like the apostle Paul received when he said; “and now I am bound by the Spirit to go to Jerusalem. I don’t know what awaits me, except that the Holy Spirit tells me in city after city that jail and suffering lie ahead. But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.” Acts 20:22-24 NLT  If you have a humble attitude, God will always lead you in doing right through every circumstance no matter how difficult it might seem,
teaching you His way! (See 1. Peter 3:8 and Psalm 25:9)

You Must Be Born Again

Jesus Christ clearly said; “Unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God. No one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit. Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life. So don’t be surprised when I say, you must be born again.” (See John 3:3-8)  When you are not born again, you are unable to have a personal love relationship with Jesus Christ and share His love with others. You won’t have any testimonies of what Jesus in His love has done for you. (See 1. John 4:7-19)  Instead, you will follow and keep the doctrines of the law, rules, regulations, and doomsday warnings you think can make you right with God, and you will be busy convincing others to join your religious church or cult. (See Galatians 3:10-14)  This is what happens with Seventh Day Adventists, Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses, and many other religious organizations and denominations. They are not BORN AGAIN, and therefore they do not know God but have the [...]

Refrain From Telling Lies

Peter swore to bystanders, who confronted him with the fact that he was one of Jesus’ disciples, saying, “A curse on me if I’m lying—I don’t know this man you’re talking about!” (See Mark 14:66-72) But Peter was lying, even though he promised Jesus he would never deny him. Like Peter, many Christians are accustomed to lying and exaggerating. As a born-again believer, you are supposed to let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. You should put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy and stop telling lies. You should tell your neighbors the truth, for we are all parts of the same body. (See Ephesians 4:23-25) You cannot say, “I love God,” but hate a Christian brother or sister, because you would be liar. (See 1. John 4:20) The lifestyle of lying belongs to your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds (See Colossians 3:9) that is inspired by the Devil, who does nothing but tell lies, which is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father [...]

Jesus Must Approve Your Requests

A frequently (mis)-used Bible verse among charismatic/prosperity Gospel believers is: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13 NKVJ  First of all, the apostle said this in regards to the fact that he learned how to live on almost nothing or with everything and that he learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. (See Philippians 4:12) Therefore, this has nothing to do with what these charismatic/prosperity Gospel believers suggest, which is that you can name and claim whatever you want or desire and Jesus will automatically give it to you! Not so! Yes, we can do all things with the approval of Christ, meaning whatever pleases Him! Peter asked Jesus, who was walking on water, if he also could come to him walking on water. And Jesus said; “Yes, come.” (See Matthew 14:28-29) Yes, with Jesus’ approval, Peter was able to walk on water. That’s why we don’t see a lot of people walking on water every day! It is for [...]

Answers To Men With Jezebel Wives

In this article, we give some important Biblical guidelines for those men who have been asking us for answers to questions about how to deal with the devastating spirit of Jezebel in their wives.

When you are married to a woman who has the Jezebel spirit, you are living in a constant state of power struggle and war. She will rebelliously quarrel and fight you to always be right, and will never in a million year admit to doing anything wrong, but instead she will put all the blame solely on you! She is always perfect! She will undermine and disrespect your authority as the head and leader of your home, and take matters in her own hand by bossing you around and pridefully lecturing you on how to treat her. To the outside world she puts up a nice religious face for all to see how wonderful and blameless she is, and everybody seems to fall in that trap and cater to her. But you as the husband feel lost and defeated, not knowing what to do. You are [...]

Consequences Of Committing Adultery

The Scriptures say that if you commit adultery you are an utter fool,
for you are destroying yourself. You will be wounded and disgraced.
Your shame will never be erased. (See Proverbs 6:32-33) You will lose your honor and you will lose to merciless people all you have achieved. Strangers will consume your wealth, and someone else will enjoy the fruit of your labor. In the end you will groan in anguish when diseases like STD (sexually transmitted diseases) or AIDS consumes your body. You will say, “How I hated discipline! If only I had not ignored all the warnings! I have come to the brink of utter ruin, and now I must face public disgrace.” Why? Why spill the water of your springs in the streets, having sex with just anyone, instead of sharing your love only with your wife? Why did you allow yourself to be captivated by an immoral woman, or fondle the breasts of a promiscuous woman instead of letting your wife be a fountain of blessing for you? Why? (See Proverbs 5:9-20)

Domestic violence abuse against women is punishable by law in many countries. Therefore the governing authorities, who are God’s servants, are sent for this very purpose of punishing those who commit these crimes against women. (See Romans 13:1-5 NLT) For instance a man, whether he is a Christian or not, who physically abuses his wife will be arrested and put in jail and be prosecuted. Physical abuse is also grounds for divorce! The Bible says that “you are not to associate with anyone who claims to be a believer yet indulges in sexual sin, or is greedy, or worships idols, or is abusive, or is a drunkard, or cheats people. Don’t even eat with such people. You must remove the evil person from among you.” 1. Corinthians 5:11+13 NLT  Men should not think that they can get away with physically abusing their wives without consequences!

Representing Christ

In your quest to reach out with the Good News to this dying world, whatever you do or say as a true Christian believer, you have do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, with a humble and gentile heart. (See Galatians 3:17 and Matthew 11:29) Like the apostle Paul, when you are with those who are weak, you share their weakness, for you want to bring the weak to Christ. Yes, you try to find common ground with everyone and be genuinely interested in their lives, doing everything you can to save some. You do everything to spread the Good News and share in its blessings. (See 1. Corinthians 9:22-23) Everything you say, you do it pleasantly and it is good and helpful, and your words are an encouragement to those who hear them. (See Ephesians 4:29) Can I get a witness?

Gay Heretics

Many times, when I used to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the gay and lesbian communities, I had homosexual pastors telling me that Sodom and Gomorrah was not destroyed because of the sin of homosexuality, but that it was only because of pride, gluttony, and laziness. (See Ezekiel 16:49) In this way, these homosexual pastors were trying to make it sound as if God does not judge or condemn the gay lifestyle. Then I told them, that the Bible says that when Lot was visited by angels “all the men of Sodom, young and old, came from all over the city and surrounded the house. They shouted to Lot, “Where are the men who came to spend the night with you? Bring them out to us so we can have sex with them!” Genesis 19:4-5 NLT  Homosexuality is a very prideful spirit and it’s no wonder they love to parade themselves for all to know that they are gay in their GayPride events and festivities. That is why Jude 1:17 says that we should not forget that [...]
