Wrong Reasons For Marrying

Many couples go into marriage without a proper preparation and biblical understanding, often with disastrous consequences as a result. Here are some of the wrong reasons for entering into marriage: 1. Loneliness or solitude – having a great need to be with somebody or otherwise not feeling complete. 2. Out of guilt, pity, or feeling sorry for – You are not at peace, but feel obligated into committing, even fearing that you might miss God’s will, since the partner or family continuously confirm that the relationship is meant to be, or ordained by God. 3. Because of age – getting older and desperate to have your own family. 4. Pressure from the family – they look forward to having grandchildren. 5. Impulsive love – being overly in love, and consumed or obsessed with the other person. 6. Sex – fueled by lust and pornographic fantasies. Using somebody for the fulfillment of self-centered desires, and having unhealthy ideas about rights for sex within the marriage. 7. Single parent with children – in need of a mom or dad. The man or woman becomes a replacement for a missing parent. 8. Feeling [...]

How To Handle Your Money According To The Bible

The way we should handle our money as a Christian believer in a scriptural fashion is as follow: First and foremost, we need to take care of our own family, making sure they have food, clothing, and shelter. If we don’t, according to the Bible, we are “worse than an unbeliever.” “But those who won’t care for their own relatives, especially those living in the same household, have denied what we believe. Such people are worse than unbelievers.” 1. Timothy 5:8 NLT  As a believer, we each have a duty to support the church we join, which pays for the pastor, the elders, evangelists, teachers, and other ministry services, including feeding the poor and help to the needy. “On every Lord’s Day, each of you should put aside some amount of money in relation to what you have earned and save it for this offering.” 1. Corinthians 16:2 NLT  “Elders who do their work well should be paid well, especially those who work hard at both preaching and teaching. For the Scripture says, “Do not keep an ox from eating as it treads out the grain.” And in another place, [...]

When We Trust In Our Own Strength

King David knew what he was talking about when he wrote; “commit everything you do to the Lord.
Trust Him, and He will help you.” Psalm 37:5 NLT  One time, instead of trusting and relying on God, King David wanted to know how much army power he had, so he took a census and thereby caused the anger of the Lord to burn against Israel. He was eager to know how many capable warriors there was in Israel and Judah who could handle the sword. Despite being warned by his chief commander Joab, who told him; “May the Lord your God let you live to see a hundred times as many people as there are now! But why, my lord the king, do you want to do this?”, David still insisted, and stubbornly went ahead with the counting of people. But after he had taken the census, David’s conscience began to bother him and he said to the Lord, “I have sinned greatly by taking this census. Please forgive my guilt, Lord, for doing this foolish thing.” Because of David’s sin, the Lord sent a plague that ended up killing a [...]

Unloving Husbands

Share...Share on FacebookShare on Google+Tweet about this on TwitterShare on LinkedInPrint this pageEmail this to someone

If a husband who says he is a Christian is not loving his wife through communication and intimacy, it is because he rejects or hates himself and cannot love himself, and therefore he is also unable to love his wife. In other words, what you don’t have, you can’t give! The Bible says; “husbands ought to love their wives as they love their own bodies. For a man who loves his wife actually shows love for himself. No one hates his own body but feeds and cares for it, just as Christ cares for the church.” Ephesians 5:28-29 NLT The bottom line is that these so-called Christian husbands do not know God who is love, because if they did, they would love their wives as they should. “But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” 1. John 4:8 NLT Over the years, we have heard countless testimonies of women who have been severely hurt by their husband’s cold, unaffectionate, and unloving attitude towards them and others. According to these women, many of their so-called Christian husbands are the ones who sanctimoniously say “I love God,” [...]

The Jezebel Mother

The Jezebel Spirit is nothing but a narcissistic, self-centered, jealous spirit and the Bible says that “wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind.” James 3:16 NLT  Yes indeed, whenever the Jezebel Spirit is around, you will find evil of every kind! When you have a mother who is possessed by the Jezebel spirit, you are in for a demonic ride! She will cause hatred and division among family members, put children against each other, she will be dominant and control and decide every aspect of your life, hate men and disrespect authority, lie, gossip, be loudmouthed, quarrel and manipulate to get her will and be right, twist your words, bring confusion, blame you and everybody else for her own mistakes, never admit any wrongdoing, be cold, calculated and feel no empathy, fake tears to get sympathy, intimidate you, put guilt and fear on you, retaliate, and destroy your reputation if you speak up against her or try to correct her. She only loves conditionally, she is extremely selfish, jealous, needy, and always want to be important and be in the [...]

Jesus Went Around Doing Good

Our great enemy, the devil, goes around prowling like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. (See 1. Peter 5:8) “But Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.” Acts 10:38 NLT  One of them was the man in the synagogue who was possessed by an evil spirit who began shouting, “Why are you interfering with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God!” Jesus cut him short. “Be quiet! Come out of the man,” He ordered. At that, the evil spirit screamed, threw the man into a convulsion, and then came out of him. (See Mark 1:23-26) Another was a demon-possessed man, who was blind and couldn’t speak. Jesus healed the man so that he could both speak and see. (See Matthew 12:22) “And whenever those possessed by evil spirits caught sight of Jesus, the spirits would throw them to the ground in front of Him shrieking, “You are the Son of God!” Mark 3:11 NLT  Jesus commanded us to go into all the world and [...]

Dangerous Consequences Of Backsliding

Share...Share on FacebookShare on Google+Tweet about this on TwitterShare on LinkedInPrint this pageEmail this to someone

More and more Christians are backsliding these days. Turning away from God carries very serious and dangerous consequences! Just look at what the Bible says about those Christian believers who backslide; “for it is impossible to bring back to repentance those who were once enlightened—those who have experienced the good things of heaven and shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the power of the age to come— and who then turn away from God. It is impossible to bring such people back to repentance; by rejecting the Son of God, they themselves are nailing him to the cross once again and holding him up to public shame.” Hebrews 6:4-6 NLT  “And when people escape from the wickedness of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and then get tangled up and enslaved by sin again, they are worse off than before. It would be better if they had never known the way to righteousness than to know it and then reject the command they were given to live a holy life. They prove the truth of this proverb: [...]

How To Get Your Prayers Answered

Share...Share on FacebookShare on Google+Tweet about this on TwitterShare on LinkedInPrint this pageEmail this to someone

Having your prayers being answered has all to do with you doing the right thing first, and that is to forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against. (See Mark 11:25)  You have to forgive anyone who offends you and always remember that God forgave you, so you must forgive others. (See Colossians 3:13)  For instance, if a person wrongs you seven times a day and each time turns again and asks forgiveness, you must forgive that person. (See Luke 17:4)  A husband who does not give honor to his wife and treat her with love and understanding as he should, can also have his prayers hindered or not answered. (See 1. Peter 3:7)  It all comes down to you being kind, tenderhearted, and forgiving to others, just as God through Christ has forgiven you. (See Ephesians 4:32)  If you have this forgiving and loving attitude in place, Jesus said you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you have received it, it will be yours. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart! (See Mark 11:23-24)

Don’t let any pastor or minister fool you and guilt trip you by telling you that you must pay a 10% tithe of your income, (an Old Testament law meant for the Israelites), or otherwise you will be robbing God and be cursed. (See Malachi 3:8-12) That’s a flat out lie and deception! Neither Jesus nor His disciples taught such a thing! The decision making when it comes to how we handle our giving, should solely come from being led by what God tells us individually through the Holy Spirit. As believers in Jesus Christ, we ought to be controlled by His Spirit and God’s Word regarding how much money we should give, and through His Word we learn about the promises and rewards our generous giving awards us. No church should ever make us feel guilty about the amount of money we give, or try to control it! The Bible clearly says that “you must each make up your own mind as to how much you should give. Don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. For God loves the person who gives cheerfully. And God will generously provide [...]

Nothing Can Separate You From God’s Love

Share...Share on FacebookShare on Google+Tweet about this on TwitterShare on LinkedInPrint this pageEmail this to someone

When you are a true disciple of Jesus Christ, you are someone who has deep roots and lasts long! You are not the type of person who hears God’s message and immediately receive it with joy, but then fall away and separate from God as soon as you have problems or are persecuted for believing God’s Word, or because of the worries of this life, the lure of wealth, and the desire for things. (See Mark 4:16-19) No! You are a true follower of Christ, rooted and grounded in His love (See Ephesians 3:17), going around testifying that you are convinced that nothing can ever separate you from God’s love. Neither trouble nor calamity, persecution or hunger, destitution or danger, or death threats. No, neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither your fears for today nor your worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate you from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate you from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. (See Romans [...]
