“And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won’t follow immediately. Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.” Mark 13:7-8 NLT

I woke up early this morning reading the following news headline on my iPhone: “Israel Won’t Warn US of Iran Strike?”

This story is about Israel not warning the United States if or when they decide to launch a pre-emptive attack against Iranian nuclear facilities. This threat of attack from Israel on Iran is very serious, and can potentially escalate into an all out war in the Middle East!

“Such people claim they know God, but they deny him by the way they live.” Titus 1:16 NLT

The above scripture headline reflects the times we are living in, where drug addicted people like Whitney Houston are being celebrated for their faith in Jesus Christ, but in reality, they deny God by the lifestyle they live.

“Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed. You will be hated all over the world because you are my followers.” Matthew 24:9 NLT

Where Did Whitney Houston Go?

Last Monday, I was at an IKEA store close to the New Jersey airport with a friend, who had to do some shopping for his business, right at the time when Whitney Houston’s body was being flown in from Los Angeles.

Whitney Houston, 48, was found in the bathtub of her Beverly Hills hotel room on Saturday with her face under water. It is feared that she has been killed by a cocktail of prescription drugs and alcohol.

The R&B/POP singer, who has been raised in a Christian church, once sold more than 170 million albums worldwide, but was reduced to asking friends for $100 handouts in recent years. Whitney Houston struggled for decades with cocaine, marijuana, and pills, and over time her behavior had become more and more erratic.

One of the reasons I am writing this blog about Whitney Houston’s death is because somebody wrote on my Facebook wall the following about Whitney Houston: “I hope she made peace with her maker.”  Then I heard God’s voice saying to me: “Whitney Houston bought into the flimsy gospel that is being preached today, and became a casualty of this gospel that has [...]

The Tragic Fact About Demi Moore

Actress Demi Moore was an icon in the 1980′s, known for movies such as St. Elmo’s Fire, Ghost, A Few Good Men, GI Jane, Disclosure, and countless others. She became the first female actress to secure a $12 million paycheck, a salary once only paid to male actors.

Demi Moore’s recent divorce from her younger husband and actor Ashton Kutcher, her battle with ageing and anorexia, and subsequent trip to rehab for drug and alcohol addiction, have been documented all over the media and in the tabloids. It is also known that Demi Moore grew up in a dysfunctional family where the parents were alcoholics, and her father committed suicide.

I believe the tragic fact about Demi Moore, who is 49 and has three young daughters, is her great fear of getting old. Demi Moore is the product of our youth-obsessed culture, which teaches women from when they are girls that they are valued by their beauty. They are taught to stay young and thin at any cost, and there is no other industry that consistently reinforces that message more than Hollywood. It is clear, that many are buying and believing this [...]
