The Bible says,

Once you had no identity as a people; now you are God’s people. 1. Peter‬ ‭2:10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

This means that when your identity is in Jesus Christ, you’re not impressed with yourself and you do not compare yourself with others. (See Galatians 4:6)

And, you won’t have the need to grade yourself and compete with others. (See 2. Corinthians 10:12)

You don’t brag about yourself, but you let others praise you. (See Proverbs‬ ‭27:2‬)

Those who have their identity in Jesus know that God has chosen them and that they are special to Him, royal priests and holy. They know God brought them out of the darkness into His marvelous light. Now they tell others about all the wonderful things He has done! (See 1. Peter‬ ‭2:9‬)

Yes, He always does what He says. For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding Yes! 2. Corinthians‬ ‭1:19-20‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Because it is impossible for God to lie. ‬‬Hebrews‬ ‭6:18‬ ‭NLT

If we ask anything according to His will, [that is, consistent with His plan and purpose] He hears us. And if we know [for a fact, as indeed we do] that He hears and listens to us in whatever we ask, we [also] know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted to us] the requests which we have asked from Him. 1. JOHN‬ ‭5:14-15‬ ‭AMP‬‬

You know you are in a cultic church when the people happily put up with whatever the pastor or leaders tells them, even if they preach a different Jesus, or a different kind of Spirit, or a different kind of gospel. (See 2. Corinthians 11:4)

You know you are in a cultic church when the people put up with it when the pastor or leaders enslave them, take everything from them, take advantage of them, take control of everything, and slaps them in the face. (See 2. Corinthians 11:20)

But when you are in a godly church, the pastor or leaders takes care of the flock that God has entrusted to them. They watch over the people willingly, not grudgingly, not for what they will get out of it, but because they are eager to serve God. They don’t lord it over the people assigned to their care, but they lead them by their own good example. (See 1. Peter 5:2-3)

Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. ‬‬1. Peter‬ ‭5:8‬ ‭NLT

Jesus said,

Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world. John‬ ‭16:33‬ ‭NLT

Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you. Luke‬ ‭10:19‬ ‭NLT‬‬

How so?

Because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. I. John‬ ‭4:4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Jesus Christ,

The Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil. 1. John‬ ‭3:8‬ NLT

Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.James‬ ‭4:7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Romans‬ ‭8:31‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Yes, and the Lord will deliver you from every evil attack and bring you safely into His heavenly Kingdom. (See 2. Timothy‬ ‭4:18‬)

A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on all [...]

Be careful who you listen to when it comes to the Jezebel Spirit. Some people speak without proper understanding and anointing. A good example: Yesterday, someone sent me a video of a well-known American pastor preaching that Elijah was so overcome by a spiritual attack from Jezebel that even though God tried to reach him in the earthquake, the fire, and lastly the still small voice, God ultimately had to take him home because he forfeited his place of authority with God and had to be replaced!

This is just a complete misconception of what happened. Elijah was only temporarily overcome by depression, but he completely recovered, and 1. Kings 21 describes how God sent him back to confront Ahab for the death of Naboth and to pronounce judgment over Jezebel! Indeed, God also continued to give Elijah missions, and in verse 28, we see God conversing with Elijah. When God took Elijah up to heaven, it wasn’t because Elijah was so useless, like this preacher claimed, but a display of God’s power and miraculous doing.

As a matter [...]

Jesus said, you must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. A second is equally important: Love people as much as you love yourself. (See Matthew‬ ‭22:37-39‬‬)

Therefore, “If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a fellow believer, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see? And He has given us this command: Those who love God must also love their fellow believers.” 1 John‬ ‭4:20-21‬ ‭NLT‬‬

In other words, “Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them.” Romans‬ ‭12:9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:17-18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while.” 1 Peter‬ ‭1:6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“In His kindness God called you to share in His eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, He will restore, support, and strengthen you, and He will place you on a firm foundation.” 1 Peter‬ ‭5:10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Jesus said; humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God all things are possible! (See Matthew‬ ‭19:26‬)

In other words, God can do anything, anytime, anywhere, with anybody!

It is for this very reason that Jesus said to the disciples, “Have faith in God. I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.” Mark‬ ‭11:22-24‬ ‭NLT‬‬

And the apostle Paul said it this way,

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians‬ ‭4:13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“One of the men in the crowd spoke up and said, “Teacher, I brought my son so you could heal him. He is possessed by an evil spirit that won’t let him talk. And whenever this spirit seizes him, it throws him violently to the ground. Then he foams at the mouth and grinds his teeth and becomes rigid.

So they brought the boy. But when the evil spirit saw Jesus, it threw the child into a violent convulsion, and he fell to the ground, writhing and foaming at the mouth. “How long has this been happening?” Jesus asked the boy’s father. He replied, “Since he was a little boy. The spirit often throws him into the fire or into water, trying to kill him. Have mercy on us and help us, if you can.” “What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.” The father instantly cried out, “I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!”

When Jesus saw that the crowd of onlookers was growing, he rebuked the evil spirit. “Listen, you [...]

Here is some of the reasons why people get hurt in the church by those who are not supposed to be pastors or leaders.

“Never be in a hurry about appointing a church leader.” 1 Timothy‬ ‭5:22‬ ‭NLT‬‬

In other words, he might not have the calling to be a pastor.

“A church leader must not be a new believer, because he might become proud, and the devil would cause him to fall.” 1 Timothy‬ ‭3:6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

In other words, he is immature.

“A church leader is a manager of God’s household, so he must live a blameless life. He must not be arrogant or quick-tempered; he must not be a heavy drinker, violent, or dishonest with money.” Titus‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

In other words, he does not walk in the fruits of the Holy Spirit.

“He must manage his own family well, having children who respect and obey him. For if a man cannot manage his own household, how can he take care of God’s church?” 1 Timothy‬ ‭3:4-5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

In other words, he is not able to lead his own family and be a godly example [...]
