Recently, several black pastors told their congregations not to vote to reelect President Obama, who is also referred to as the first black president of the United States. These black pastors also told their church members not to vote for President Obama just because he is black and a Democrat, but to pay close attention to his immoral policies, that are in direct contradiction to the Word of God, the Bible.

President Obama, who calls himself a Christian, openly supports homosexual marriage, and yet the Bible says: “The law is for people who are sexually immoral, or who practice homosexuality, or are slave traders, liars, promise breakers, or who do anything else that contradicts the wholesome teaching that comes from the glorious Good News entrusted to me by our blessed God.” (1. Timothy 1:10-11 NLT)

President Obama endorses abortion, the killing of babies, and yet Jesus said: “You have heard that our ancestors were told, ‘You must not murder. If you commit murder, you are subject to judgment.’” (Matthew 5:21 NLT)

Our responsibility as Christian believers is to not associate ourselves with people who condone, endorse, or practice sexual sin. The apostle Paul, in his writing to the Corinthian Church, warned them: “When I wrote to you before, I told you not to associate with people who indulge in sexual sin.” (1. Corinthians 5:9 NLT)

Then, Paul made it even more specific: “I meant that you are not to associate with anyone who claims to be a believer yet indulges in sexual sin, or is greedy, or worships idols, or is abusive, or is a drunkard, or cheats people. Don’t even eat with such people.” (1. Corinthians 5:11 NLT)

President Obama is clearly an immoral and rebellious believer, who defies God’s Word, and we as Christians should absolutely not associate ourselves with such a person by voting for him, whether he is black or not. And: “Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.” (James 4:17 NLT)
